I’m Sam—Founder and Principal Planner of Samantha Starr Events (and yes, Starr is my actual middle name). Born and raised in Milwaukee, I also affectionately call Chicago my second home. From a young age, I gravitated toward planning, design, and organization—and that instinct has shaped both my career and my approach to events.

When I was three, I famously asked my mom for a lobster dinner, so my appreciation for great food runs deep. Today, that early curiosity has evolved into a passion for designing beautifully executed events and dining experiences. Alongside my event styling team, I bring more than a decade of planning and coordination experience to celebrations in the Milwaukee area and beyond.

I’m known for being hands-on, detail-oriented, and deeply invested in creating events that feel personal, well-considered, and thoughtfully executed. At the heart of my work is the joy of gathering—sharing a table, telling stories, and creating space for connection.
